We made today's recipe forEasy Cheesy Snowman Garlic Pizza Breads to go with some soup for lunch recently, it's a simple idea that was greatly enjoyed by both of my boys.
Have you had snow this winter? So far, as is pretty typical for the south of England, we've had nothing but cold rain, but my boys are desperate forit to snow so I've been cheering them up with some fun snowman themed foods instead!
This is a great recipe to make with children and would be a fun weekend activity when it's too cold or wet to be outside.
This fun snowman garlic breads also make great party food - they take just minutes to put together so are easy to make in bulk. You could even set up a snowman making station and let your guests design their own, before popping them in the oven to cook.
If you'd like to challenge your children to make these themselves, I've provided a free child friendly printable recipe at the end of this post.
Easy Cheesy Snowman Garlic Pizza Breads
Ingredients:
- 3 English muffins
- 1 clove garlic
- 20g butter
- pinch finely chopped parsley (fresh or dried)
- 60g grated mozarella
- mini pepperoni (I used 3 mini Pepperami sausages)
- ¼ orange pepper
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
Split all three English muffins in half.
Peel and crush or finely chop the garlic clove, then mix with the butter and parsley until well combined.
Spread the garlic butter over the cut side of the muffin halves, splitting it equally between them all.
Top with the grated mozarella.
Slice the mini pepperoni sausages into rounds. Cut 6 triangles from the orange pepper.
Arrange the pepperoni and pepper triangles on the top of each muffin to form a snownman face design.
Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
You may find that the pieces making up the snowman face have moved around a bit while cooking, if so, gently push them back into place with the tip of a knife.
Leave to cool for a few minutes then serve warm.
As I mentioned above,I have created a free printable recipe sheet for this recipe so thatyour child can have a go at following the recipe themselves. Click on the picture below to download the PDF file.
