WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 8

Say what you will, take what you want, someday we’ll drag you from your throne. You made us believe that you had a heart so you could tear our world apart, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.

A potted recap of last week’s CW debut follows.

Trick Williams makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says we got Sexyy Red in the back, NXT is reaching new heights in new cities and a new network, and he’s got a new name— Tricky Two-Times, and you better say it two times, because he’s your new two-time NXT Champion. He’s got the brand new beautiful belt around his waist and he knows sharks in the locker room are watching but that don’t change nothing.

Wes Lee appears in the crowd and congratulates him before saying people don’t want to hear Trick for two hours when he’s not the only one that had a career milestone. Lee has shed the dead weight and now he’s looking to be an NXT Triple Crown Champion. Williams tells him to hold up and his accolades speak for themselves but it’s gonna end with Trick Willy’s hand raised in the end.

Wes tells him he ain’t it and he’s going to take the title away before he even gets comfortable and then he’s gonna leave him in the dust like his partner did.

Enter “Main Event” Jey Uso!

He gets on the mic and says he’s now in your city and Williams says he appreciates him coming out to NXT after a big victory last week and they share a moment together to close out the segment without much in the way of further conflict.

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Kelani Jordan make their entrance to send us to break.

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, & Kelani Jordan vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, & Jazmyn Nyx)

Nyx and Jordan to start, Jazmyn in control but Jordan slingshots around for an arm drag and follows it with a dropkick as the match breaks down and all three babyfaces do triplicate body slams before flexing! Belair pressing Nyx, she gets away, tag to Henley but Bianca keeps the attack up!

Up and over, handspring into a taunt in the corner, backflip up and over, shoulder block in the corner into mounted punches! Tag to Cargill, big double-team slam, Kelani tags in and Jade military press drops her into a cover for two! Cheap shots from the heels, Jordan isolated, and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Jordan on the wrong side of town but she breaks away, slips out of a German suplex, jawbreaker for separation, tags made and Cargill comes in like a freight train! Spinebuster, Bossman backbreaker, fallaway slam, Stinger splashes, huge chokeslam on Nyx! Tag to Belair, assisted splash but Fallon breaks it up!

Match breaks down into “everybody do something cool” territory, tag to Jordan...

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, & Kelani Jordan win by pinfall with the split-legged moonsault from Jordan on Jazmyn Nyx.

Fraxiom are backstage getting ready for their match when Randy Orton interrupts to ask how fast Je’Von Evans is.

Axiom says he might be the fastest guy in NXT but Nathan Frazer is upset and they bicker before Nathan apologizes for being a hothead, but Orton says sometimes you need to find that place and Frazer takes it and runs with it and Randy wishes them luck.

Giulia is interviewed backstage.

Before she can say much, a knock on the door interrupts and Giulia answers to meet “an old friend” and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Roxanne Perez makes her entrance and gets on the mic.

She thought last week it was finally gonna happen, our international sensation was going to dethrone her as NXT Women’s Champion but nope, once again here we are disappointed and she stands with the title. Maybe now we’ll all start to believe everything she’s been saying since April, but she’s not gonna hold her breath.

She introduces her old friend Cora Jade, who makes her entrance.

She says she’s had to sit at home and listen to everyone talk about how deep the women’s division is, listing everyone but her for some reason, So when she cost Giulia the title nobody saw it coming, not even Roxanne. The woman we used to know was a young girl trying to make it in NXT but now you’re looking at the woman who is going to make NXT.

She says Perez deserves to be champion and this is the version she always knew she could be and that’s why they’re friends again and that’s really bad for the rest of the division. Roxanne says she wishes she’d listen to Cora ages ago but she finally learned her lesson.

Enter Giulia.

Jade waves her in the ring but—

Stephanie Vaquer is here! The babyfaces hit the ring and a brawl breaks out!

No Quarter Catch Crew are backstage and Charlie Dempsey has a terrible soup strainer of a moustache why? Why men? Why moustaches? A beard every now and again I kind of understand, but...

Speaking of terrible bears, Lexis King is here and he wants a match and Dempsey tells him about the Admiral-Lord Mountevans rules and gentlemen’s duels and such.

Tony D’Angelo makes his entrance and we go to break.

Oba Femi (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo (NXT North American Championship)

Femi with punches in the corner, shoving D’Angelo down, scoop and a slam! Elbow drop, cover for two! Side headlock to grind the Don down, slam into the apron and we go to break!

Back from commercial, backbreaker hold applied to wear Tony down, D’Angelo gets away and Stacks slides the crowbar in but he’s not gonna use it! Elbows clobbering Oba, whip across, spinebuster blocked and Femi blasts them both to the floor with a Cactus Clothesline!

Femi gets into it with the Family at ringside and shoves them down, filling Tony with determination! Double leg into grounded punches on the floor and then he throws the champion into the steel steps! Belly-to-belly suplex on the floor! Back in the ring, spear... NOPE! Oba cuts him off with an uppercut, charging lariat from the challenger gets a dropkick from the champion!

Big chokeslam... D’ANGELO WON’T STAY DOWN! Duck a lariat, German suplex connects, Oba returns with a tossing powerbomb but he’s completely spent and collapses to the mat! Charging uppercut, Tony off the top and cut off with another uppercut! Femi follows him to the floor and clears the announce desk!

D’Angelo turns the tables, back inside, spinebuster into a folding press... NOT ENOUGH! Oba finds another wind, Tony counters, folding press... HE DID IT! IT’S OVER!

Tony D’Angelo wins by pinfall wtih a folding press, becoming your new NXT North American Champion.

Ava Raine is backstage with Lola Vice, who wants a match with Jaida Parker but she can’t get it because she’s in Canada?

Nikkita Lyons is back and they bicker and Ava books the match.

A-Town Down Under make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Kelani Jordan have some kind of meeting with Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend of Meta-Four.

A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) vs. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) (c) (NXT Tag Team Championship)

I’m sorry y’all my cable is in total meltdown and this match is unwatchable so far. Rebooting the box again.

Once it’s back online, Theory and Axiom are fighting in the turnbuckles, the luchador knocks him down and lands a splash! Tag to Frazer, missile dropkick, corner elbow, whip reversed, up and over with a backflip, duck under, lariats and cross chops! Cover for two, enzuigiri, tag denied when Axiom gets pulled off the apron!

Superkick from Austin, Ataxia connects... NOPE! Plancha countered with a forearm, Axiom blasts him to the floor and then catches Waller with a leaping sleeper hold! Nathan has Austin in a guillotine but Theory suplexes him into Axiom to break the hold! Fireman’s carry, accidentally wiping Grayson out!

Another close call, big flip piledriver from Axiom! Champions up top, Spanish Fly sets it up...

Fraxiom win by pinfall with a Phoenix Splash from Frazer, retaining the NXT Tag Team Championship.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Ridge Holland is interviewed backstage and Riley Osborne interrupts to brawl with him.

Sexyy Red has her concert and “All Ego” Ethan Page interrupts to invoke his rematch clause.

Je’Von Evans comes out and lays Ethan out and celebrates with Red and I have to restart this godforsaken box again.

We get another vignette of facepainted ladies in shiny vinyl fighting.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

Je’Von Evans vs. Randy Orton

Collar and elbow, turning the speed up, Orton sidesteps a dropkick and gives Evans the ol’ “not that easy” finger waggle. Waistlock, reversed, arm wringer, whip to the corner, Je’Von up and over, slingshot back in, keeping his distance, but Randy grabs a side headlock. Evans gets whiplashed to the mat and then shoved into the corner, and the Viper breaks clean with a headpat.

Block a kick, Je’Von gets him on the rewind and lands a dropkick that sends Orton to the floor with a smile on his face as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Orton goes for the back suplex but Evans lands on the announce desk on his feet! Popping to the apron, kick, off the ropes with a dive but Randy catches him and suplexes him into the desk! Another suplex into the desk! A third and a fourth! Back inside, whip reversed, flipping kick gets Je’Von a nearfall!

Springboard Ace Crusher blocked, snap scoop powerslam, cover for two! Orton going to that special place... EVANS CUTS HIM OFF WITH A SUPERKICK! He sees victory in his sights, double jump into the Ace Crusher... RANDY ORTON KICKS OUT! Double jump tornillo... RANDY COUNTERS INTO AN RKO! One more for good measure...

Randy Orton wins by pinfall with an RKO.

Post-match, Orton raises Je’Von’s hand.

Ava Raine has Ethan Page and Wes Lee in her office and she books them in a #1 contender’s match for the NXT Championship next week.

That’s the show, folks.
