Hello,

I've built a Ryzen 3900X on a Tomahawk X570 WIFI with 32 GB DDR4-3200 Mhz G.Skill TridentZ Neo CL 14-14-14-34.

Right now I'm having the RAM @ 3600 Mhz CL14-14-14-34 using the Memory try it! profile.

Does it make any sense for me to further tune the settings with the Ryzen DRAM calculator? What performance gains can I expect? Or: What would be the advantages of using the DRAM calculator over Memory try it! ?

Thank you for your help!

Unlikely that you would do anything better than this. And even if you do so, it wouldn’t worth the effort.

Are you sure you are stable enough not to get corrupted OS?

If so, might as well save the BIOS profile as is (in case further tuning fails and requires a CMOS clear), and try for 1900 FCLK.

At C14 at 3600MHz, there's no point aiming for higher clocks.

Higher clocks equals more bandwidth, even a 33mhz boost is significant (between 500mbps-1gbps). You'll likely not notice a difference between faster and slower speeds though (you might notice but very unlikely as a human), with ddr4 being in the 50gbps and up range you really can't tell the difference between slower and faster ram, and more importantly it doesn't make much difference gaming.

Also a 3.8ghz processor runs at 3.8 billion cycles per second and your ram can respond every 14 cycles.

MemTestPro did not find any errors. I did not run any other memory tests so far. I'm at 1800 FCLK now, would 1900 make much of a difference?

It will not, as you have to step up from CL14 to CL16 which pretty much negates the benefit of going up in speed.
You have as good timings as you can expect at 3600MHz, so just stay there and be happy with the fact that you lucked out and got some great RAM.

Is it unusual to get from 3200 Mhz CL14 to 3600 Mhz CL14? It's been around 9-10 years since I have been last overclocking new hardware.

Only with expensive b-die RAM. And out of curiosity... what's the DRAM voltage?

"The memory try it!" profile sets the DRAM voltage to 1.45V.

Unusual, no idea, but 3600MHz CL14 RAM is not cheap.
You're not likely to hit 3800MHz CL14 and Ryzen CPUs are not fond of odd CAS latencies, so you'd most likely end up at 16.
I'd suggest you read this to get an idea of the difference.

Ryzen 3000 Memory Benchmark & Best RAM for Ryzen (fClock, uClock, & mClock) | GamersNexus

stub Memory speed on Ryzen has always been a hot subject, with AMD’s 1000 and 2000 series CPUs responding favorably to fast memory while at the same time having difficulty getting past 3200MHz in Gen1. The new Ryzen 3000 chips officially support memory speeds up to 3200MHz and can reliably run...

I know some (XMP) 3600MHz CL16-16-16-16-36 1.35V sticks running 3800MHz CL14-14-14-14-28 1.45V but don’t ask me to speak the price...
In the end I don’t think that on actual apps/games makes a lot of difference in performance than 3600MHz CL14-14-14-14-34
