Our Highlights
In this article, we’re going over our highlights from the showcase, but the full Ubisoft Forward 2024 presentation was two hours of game reveals, trailers, and deep dives. If you missed it, it is well worth the watch. There are live orchestral performances, behind the scenes videos, and even some hidden easter egg reveals!
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
It may not be news that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming, but the gameplay reveal has us even more excited for November 17th. The atmospheric music and stunning backdrop transport you instantly into the feudal Japan setting. While gameplay and mission format feel familiar – talk to NPC, get a quest, assassinate – it’s an exciting new world to explore. Best yet, YOU CAN PET THE DOG. (Yes, that warrants all-caps excitement.)

Star Wars Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws will be on our gaming PCs before we know it, launching on August 30th. The official gameplay showcase has us hyped. From exploring much loved locations to playing mini-games and just living our best Star Wars lives, we’re looking forward to getting a firsthand experience of the galaxy. Also, can I just say? The soundtrack! It is on point. All space travel should be set to epic orchestral music.

Prince of Persia
There were a few announcements for the Prince of Persia franchise. The two that caught our eyes were the upcoming DLC for The Lost Crown and the trailer for the long-awaited Sands of Time Remake.
The Lost Crown DLC
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown has brought much joy to the gaming community, receiving many accolades upon release. Now, it’s getting a free content update, with divine trials, combat challenges, revised bosses, and all sorts of challenges to master. On top of all this, a story DLC called Mask of Darkness is coming September 2024. Exciting stuff!
The Sands of Time
The teaser trailer did not reveal very much at all, but it has given us a launch window. 2026. After delays and patiently waiting, it’s great to have this classic back on the horizon! Plus, those cinematic graphics – this is going to be a stunning remaster.
Anno 117: Pax Romana
My fellow Romans! We are looking forward to seeing the Anno take on the iconic Roman Empire. The trailer only really teases a 2025 launch date with a sprinkling of goats, but the listing on EPIC Games promises an adventure as governor where your decisions will guide your citizens through the era of Pax Romana.
Just Dance VR
This last one is for the VR fans out there. Just Dance VR is coming to Meta Quest 3, bringing the gameplay we know and love to the virtual reality platform. A great way to add movement to your gaming if we ever saw one! Plus, with multiplayer support, this’ll make a fab party game in the coming holiday season. (I know, I know, it’s summer and you’re not thinking about that yet.) What’s more, Just Dance VR is coming sooner than you think, releasing on October 15th!
